platform architecture, Karbon’ and archipelago were selected by Thuispunt Gent to develop a competition proposal for the renovation of the Charles Andries site at the head of the Watersportbaan in Ghent. The project comprises the renovation of two modernist apartment buildings from the 1950s, providing 131 social rental dwellings and a commercial plinth, while enhancing residential quality, energy performance and sustainability in line with the site’s existing structure and heritage value.

We are participating in the competition for the development of 25 social rental houses and apartments in Wielsbeke.

platform architectuur and Witherford Watson Mann architects have been selected by OCMW Zemst and Team Vlaams Bouwmeester to develop a competition proposal for a new care home for 92 residents, as well as for the renovation and extension of the historic building to accommodate a local service centre, OCMW services, a child and family centre, and a welcome desk for the inhabitants of Zemst.

We’re delighted to have won the competition for the design of five homes for large families in Hoboken!

platform architecture is nominated for the Jo Crepain Awards 2025 in the category ‘Social Impact Award‘. For this category, the jury is looking for an architectural firm that is committed to social cohesion, affordable housing, inclusivity and participation as well as making an exceptional contribution to projects such as social housing and co-housing.
